Vestigial: Forming a very small remnant of something that was once much larger or more noticeable

Vestigium is an album about experiencing the downfall of society in a mostly first person perspective over the course of many years. The songs tell a story of an apocalyptic event as it happens, several decades after, and hundreds of years after. These characters watch the feralization of humanity while holding onto hopes that they can still survive.

Beginning in 2013 while the band was still attending high school under a different name, Cryptic Entity grew into it's own and became what it is today during the pandemic. Four lifelong friends making music out of love for death metal of every era.

Death metal/deathcore hybridization done correct! All the atmospheric passages and samples feel right in place, with great sound. Instrumentation doesn't lack as well, but the vocals could've been a little less upfront. 8.5/10 liltito
